V-Gard® Slotted Caps and Non-Slotted Hats meet all applicable requirements for a Type I (top impact) helmet as outlined in ANSI/ISEA Z89.1-2009 (Class E), and also as outlined in CSA Z94.1-2005 (Class E) with 1-Touch® and Fas-Trac® Suspensions.

V-Gard Caps and Hats also meet the ANSI/ISEA Z89.1-2009 voluntary standard for reverse donning and low temperature.

Hi-viz orange and hi-viz yellow-green V-Gard Caps and Hats meet the ANSI/ISEA Z89.1-2009 voluntary standard for high visibility as well.

WARNING: Do not mix suspension and helmet sizes. Make sure the sizes match (i.e., standard-size suspension with standard-size helmet). Use only MSA suspensions on an MSA helmet. Failure to comply with the above will reduce the energy-absorbing ability of the protective helmet, which can result in serious injury or death.

This top-selling hard hat features an easy-to-use, fast-to-adjust ratchet suspension. The hard hat has a lightweight, rugged polyethylene hard hat shell, that is balanced on the head by the continuous loop nylon fabric suspension straps.

Hard Hats are tested to provide a wearer protection from a force roughly equivalent to a 16 oz. hammer dropping 40 feet.
